You can use the created function to call another function. Example:

created() {
  window.addEventListener('beforeunload', this.handler)
},
methods: {
  handler: function handler(event) {
      // Do Something
  }
}

or

created() {
      window.addEventListener('beforeunload', function(event) {
         event.returnValue = 'Write something'
      })
    },
