Debian 4.0 (Etch) 是一个不再受支持的旧版本：

Debian GNU/Linux 4.0 已被 Debian GNU/Linux 5.0（“lenny”）取代。自 2010 年 2 月下旬起，安全更新已停止。

Etch 现在已移至 archive.debian.org：

我们打算在 6 月 20 日星期日晚上 (UTC) 将 Etch 复制到 archive.debian.org。蚀刻将逐渐从镜子中消失；dist 树将被立即删除，池中的文件将在接下来的几天内成组删除。

Etch 现已从 ftp.uk.debian.org 中删除。您可以通过将您的 sources.list 更改为：

deb http://archive.debian.org/debian/ etch main contrib
